Past Events

LGNA enjoyed participating in the Trunk or Treat event sponsored by Valley High School on October 29, 2024. The weather was blustery but spirits were high!

National Night Out 2024 was so much fun. Thank you to all who attended and to  all who supported the event.

Posa's El Merendero Restaurant, Laguna Burger, No Bull Prime Meats, Insight Construction, John Brooks, Mezcla Latina and West Hand Signs all helped the event to be one worth enjoying. We are also very appreciative of support from the Bernalillo County Neighborhood Grant Program and City of Albuquerque Pop Up Parks. We Hope to see you again next year for National Night Out 2025!

About 20 neighbors gathered at Valley Neighborhood Park on Sunday, May 19th 2024 for a Potluck Picnic. The weather was good, the food was delicious and the company was terrific!

On Monday, January 15, 2024, Martin Luther King Jr's  Birthday Holiday, students from the Albuquerque Sign Language Academy chose to do service projects around the city rather than have a day of leisure.  Here is a link to the Albuquerque Journal article about  the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service event gifted to LGNA by the Albuquerque Sigh Language Academy: https://www.abqjournal.com/good_news/helping-our-community-charter-school-students-spend-mlk-jr-day-giving-back/article_924dc3fc-b3f2-11ee-b851-9797be704a9a.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=email&utm_campaign=user-share

FIESTA 2023 WAS FUN FOR ALL!

Thanks to everyone who attended LGNA's first National Neighbor's Night Out. We didn't know what to expect but many neighbors came, paletas were enjoyed and we were joined by representatives from APD, AFR, Park Management, Melanie Stansbury's office, City Council candidate, Joaquin Baca, and we even had an APD helicopter fly over to wish us well! We will definitely do this again in 2024!

Thanks to everyone who came out for the first LGNA Potluck at Valley Neighborhood Park! It was great to have no agenda and time to talk and enjoy delicious food. We have neighbors with wonderful culinary skills in addition to being really good people. If you missed this one, plan to come to the next one. Date and time TBD.

A small but mighty group of neighbors made quick work of cleaning Valley Neighborhood Park on Earth Day! Thanks to all who participated and those who stopped by to cheer us on!

Coffee with Cops at Starbucks at Avanyu Plaza was a big success! Thank you to Lamont Davis, our APD North Valley Crime Prevention Specialist, the leadership of The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and the very generous management and staff at Starbucks!
